Canadian Independent Screen Fund for BIPOC Creators

Building Audiences, Empowering Filmmakers

CISF Connect is a national program that supports the promotion and distribution of Canadian films and documentaries by empowering filmmakers to connect more deeply with their audiences.

Strengthening Capacity in Film Marketing & Distribution

This initiative provides targeted support to selected participants, helping them take an active role in how their films are marketed and shared. Filmmakers receive funding and work one-on-one with expert consultants to develop customized marketing and distribution strategies tailored to their projects and audiences.

Fostering Local Connections & Screenings

Through hands-on training and a structured curriculum, CISF Connect participants learn how to plan, host, and promote film screenings in their communities. The program’s vision is to build a Canada-wide network of Film Engagement Specialists who can bring compelling and diverse stories to life in local venues—reaching new audiences in meaningful ways.
