Treasurer (Volunteer, Board Member)

Location: Remote Commitment: Part-time, Volunteer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Treasurer to join the Board of Directors and oversee the finance committee of the Mosquers Film Festival. The Treasurer will be a key strategic decision-maker, ensuring financial sustainability and transparency while managing financial risk and budgeting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial risk and create contingency plans to ensure the festival’s long-term sustainability.

  • Conduct internal audits and ensure financial transparency within the organization.

  • Oversee the third-party grant and sponsorship team, ensuring funding alignment with festival needs.

  • Provide quarterly financial updates at Board meetings.

  • Manage the organization’s banking relationships and financial accounts.

  • Develop and oversee the festival’s annual budget and ensure adherence to financial goals.

  • Work closely with the Board and Executive Director on financial strategy and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in finance, accounting, or financial management.

  • Strong analytical and budgeting skills.

  • Familiarity with non-profit financial structures and grant management is an asset.

  • Commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical financial oversight.

  • Passion for film, arts, and community development.
